Last year we reviewed our history and literature courses, charting a path for greater integration between subjects and a more complimentary progression of courses along a timeline of history. This year, we are reviewing our science program. And, as we do, it is exciting to see the ways in which our school dispels the myth of a liberal arts program being weak in the study of science. At Trinity, we believe that the purpose of science, as with all other areas of study, is an honest pursuit of truth, which brings glory to God. We believe that the role of scientific study is to provide logical and rational methods of revealing the patterns of God's creation (Mays, 2001). From those two basic premises, we move toward scientific study with confidence. We lean in to the unknown, with faith that as God's world is revealed to us, and his Truth never changes.
If you would like others to see the vision for this God-honoring pursuit of what is true, good, and beautiful, while striving for excellence in all we do, then please share the blessing and invite your friends and neighbors to our Open House on Saturday, February 7th from 8:30-10:30 AM. There will be tours on both mauka and makai campuses. Teachers will be available to answer questions and have discussions.
