God commands us as parents and teachers to "train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it (Prov. 22:6)." However, a child can only become as wise and virtuous as the examples around him/her. Luke 6:40 tells us, "A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone when he is fully trained will be like his teacher." And at Trinity, more than academics and accolades, we care about who our child is becoming. It behooves us, then, to make sure we as adults have our loves ordered rightly, and that we ourselves are pursuing truth, goodness and beauty. In this way, our children unite us as parents and teachers, and challenge us - oh, how they challenge us - to look to Jesus Christ, who is Truth, Goodness and Beauty. What an incredible blessing it is to be in a community where parents, teachers and children sharpen one other. May God continue to strengthen and refine us as a school so that we may be a blessing to our community.
