Expressing gratitude must begin with the source of all things good, beautiful and true. God has blessed us with a community that works together for good. Recently Sandy Kalama used the Hawaiian expression “Lanakili lima nui mauloa ‘o ka lokahi” meaning that when many hands work together, we emerge victorious. Our school is not about one person’s work or even our team’s work, but rather God’s work through each of us: parents, students, faculty, staff, Board, Elders. God blesses us when we work together for His good.
As I reflect upon on my years at Trinity Christian School, there are three things I value above all that I hope you treasure as well. We are:
· A Christ-centered school where boys and girls can grow as Jesus did in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man.
· A classical school where boys and girls are well-equipped with the tools and passion for a lifetime of learning.
· A loving community that shares core values of training up children in the way they should go and seeking excellence in all things. We are many hands partnering together for the good of your children.
It has been an honor to be a part of the team that answered God’s call to transform the education in Hawaii. As I pass the leadership of our classical Christian school to Steve Sprague, it is with great confidence that God has prepared him well to lead the next generation. While it is not easy to leave something one loves, I know full well that God’s timing is perfect, that the school in good hands and is in good shape.
May God richly bless you always,
Nancy Shaw
