Athens, Greece

Today we woke up in Greece, ate breakfast and headed straight to the bus. Our tour guide James was very knowledgeable about everywhere and everything we saw while driving to the Acropolis. While driving I enjoyed the graffiti all over the city, which probably is not a good thing but in some way looked quite artistic. When we arrived we walked up to the Parthenon and there are no words to describe it, except for huge! It had four sides with pillars all around, and the guide told us that the four pillars on the sides are slanted so that it would look more upright, which was so interesting. We walked to Mars Hill, and sat while James read from the Bible and talked about where Paul was when he gave his sermon. Everything was so much more than what I had expected and I was surprised at how big the Parthenon actually was in person.
After this we went into the city and looked for a place to eat lunch and shop. We then went to the National Archeological Museum and saw so many amazing statues, sculptures, jewelry and more! We left the museum and headed back to the hotel where we had free time, so we all decided to go explore. We ended up finding a place with ice cream and it was delicious. Once we finished we headed back to the hotel, relaxed, ate dinner, and headed to bed.
