- Brittney Allen (3rd grade) has poured her heart into her students and our school. She’s had such a great spirit of encouragement, and she is often praying for her students. Let’s encourage her and pray for her as she moves to New River, North Carolina with her husband.
- Raelen Reagan (4th grade) is also finding it particularly hard to go, as she loves this school, her job, and most of all her students. But, she trusts that God will provide as she moves to the Washington D.C. area with her husband, and she is actively seeking another teaching position in classical Christian education.
- Samuel Dickison (5th grade, Basketball) is moving with his family (Rosalie, our former 3rd grade teacher, and baby Forrest) to teach at his alma mater, Logos Academy, in Moscow, Idaho. Samuel has done so much to contribute to the caliber of our classical education, and to the heart of our community. He and Rosalie will forever cherish their time with Trinity, as will we cherish our time with them.
- Laura Wilson (Secondary History, Drama) will be continuing her education at The University of York (England) to pursue a Masters in Public History. She’ll be demonstrating public history next week with the 9th grade WWI Museum, to include a giant trench dug in the Makai field. She has brought such energy and character to our growing Secondary School; her mark will forever be felt, and she will be missed.
- Anne Marie Baker (Secondary Math & Science) will be taking next year off from teaching. She has done an amazing job building our math and science program, bringing our students to succeed in advanced Physics and AP Calculus. Her legacy will continue, and we eagerly expect her to continue in person, returning for the 2016-17 school year.
- Todd Kawakami (Facilities Coordinator). “Mr. Todd” has kept our ship afloat for many years (sorry… I can’t help myself with the Navy metaphors). We all know and appreciate his servant’s heart and his friendly presence among the faculty and students of all ages. Thankfully, he won’t be going far. He’ll be working on his new start-up cleaning business, Clean & Handy Too, and Trinity will now be contracting with him.
- Finally, Ben Moore will be moving from 6th grade to our Secondary History position and plans to stay there forever – so we’re not going to shed tears for him.
At the same time, Trinity has been incredibly blessed by an amazing group of new applicants. Just as such wonderful families are drawn to our school, so too are wonderful teachers. We’ve been busily working through 20+ applications, conducting multiple interviews in some cases. We’re happy to announce that we’ve already hired four new teachers and a new Facilities Manager, and we are closing in on our final two positions. Within the highly-qualified group of new hires there is extensive experience in Christian education, classical schools, advanced degrees, and youth ministry. I look forward to introducing you to them in August.
In Christ,
Stephen Sprague
