As you look over this list, you will notice that most of Gabriel’s teachers are
still faithfully teaching at Trinity. Gabriel, Amaris Capen and Ethan McGuire are among Trinity’s first “lifers”, starting in preschool/kindergarten and continuing all the way to graduation. I’m sure their parents, along with Gabriel’s father, would join me in thanking these faithful servants of God for their selfless and tireless work of influencing our children for the future. These teachers have been role models for our students to follow. Gabriel may forget (and has probably already forgotten!) much of the subject matter he’s learned at Trinity. But what he will never forget is the impact that each teacher had in his life. He will never forget their love for their subject, their love for teaching, and their love for their students. As you think about your elementary and secondary school years, what do you recall? You remember
teachers and experiences, not subject matter, right? That is because the school material can inform, but teachers leave an impression – an imprint on our minds and souls.
Our school is truly unique. I know many people will say that about their school but having worked at many Christian schools through the years, this is the only school where our teachers “walk” their “talk”. If you haven’t done so already, please view the video that Gabriel produced for the Spring Gala called “A Glimpse of Life at Trinity Christian
School .” It’s a beautiful expression thatcatches the essence of our school. As the students and teachers share, you will notice that the word “relationship” occurs over and over. Truly a unique school experience.
Thank you, Trinity Presbyterian Church, Trinity School Board, Mrs. Nancy Shaw and Mr. Stephen Sprague, for your leadership over this school. And, thank you teachers! for your incredible hearts. May God bless this little school so our students can go out and impact the world for God’s glory!
With a grateful heart,
Auntie Linda (Kawakami)
