Today we woke up from our hotel in Bayeux, France and took an early morning ride to a museum. At the museum, we took an audio tour of the Bayeux Tapestry. The Tapestry contained 56 scenes in chronological order from the Norman Conquest of France in 1064 with captions to describe each scene. The Tapestry was 230 feet long! To put that into perspective, it is 30 feet longer than the baseball field at Keolu Elementary School by the skate park. That’s pretty big, right? After that, we took a 3 hour bus ride to our ferry from Calais, France to Dover, England. As we pulled in to the port in England we gazed at the white cliffs of Dover. It was amazing to see these huge, white mountains that made Dover even more beautiful. That night we were served an amazing tomato soup, a delicious chicken-and-salad and a wonderful chocolate cake. It was a good way to end the night.
