While some could describe our whole experience with words like “walking” and “shopping”, I think we could all agree on the word “eating.” Our voucher meals all included three courses- all some form of meat (most of the time chicken) and potatoes. We’ve eaten gelato, crepes, fish and chips, pasta, and pizza! We ate our way through Europe and enjoyed every second of it!
After our long walking tours (with myself and my knee brace hobbling six feet behind the herd), we would board the bus and most of us would pass out during the long bus rides. We stayed at different hotels almost every night. Some were old some were new. Some were clean and nice and some were kind of gross. We slept overnight on a train and on a ferry, rode the metro in France and the tube in London. We all hold different opinions of each mode of transportation but we all have stories- good and bad.
This tour (at least to me) was one, big, wonderful blur of fun and drama and history and God. While the full impact of this trip might not hit us until years to come, these were some of the best memories we will have of each other and our teenage years!
