This year also marks another important transition for the school. Jason Kimura, having faithfully served as a TCS Board Member for six years and the Board President for the last three years, has stepped down from the Board to allow for new leadership in his place. Matt Goda, long-time Board Member and current Trinity parent, has taken his place at the new President. Please welcome Matt in this new role as you see him around campus.
But first, let us take moment to consider Jason Kimura’s important contribution during a very significant time of transition in the life of the school:
- He oversaw the Board during the most exciting and challenging years of the school as it fulfilled the vision for a secondary school started seven years ago.
- He managed the selection and transition of Trinity’s first new Headmaster in 16 years.
- He oversaw the graduation of Trinity’s first graduating class.
- He changed the character, culture, and vision of the Board to meet these realities.
- He has focused the Board on the school’s strategic vision and financial strength, and he positioned the school on good financial footing as we enter our next phase in the school’s history.
Through all of this, Jason only endeavored to be used by God for the success of the school. He exemplified what we look for in all our teachers and staff – people who respond to God’s call to serve this school, faithfully commit themselves to a higher purpose, and humbly depend on His grace to sustain them through it. At Trinity, it is not business. It’s personal. Thank you Jason and Matt for giving not only your time and effort, but yourselves to the school.
TCS has a very bright future. Please pray for our Board, that they might govern in the years ahead with grace and truth, which comes through Jesus Christ (John 1:14-17).
